Oh baby!
A friend of mine recently blogged about kids with swag. Totally adorable 2 1/2 foot tall people wearing the latest fashion week debuts. I’ll be honest, they’re so damn cute in their Michael Kors boots and LV sweaters and capes…but let me be even more honest: I’m totally freaked out by these mini models whose fashion choices I find myself vying for!
Isn’t it a little creepy that I want to find Suri’s flats or Zahara’s peacoat in my size, and of course in my budget (my parents aren’t the Cruises or Pitt/Jolies)? Glamour this month did its own piece on teeny fashionistas accompanied by a ‘do or don’t poll. Surprisingly, a large majority of readers are completely okay with this phenomenon, however even the most accepting had qualms about the cost associated with dressing those kiddies to the nines in clothes that cost more than some of our rent and mortgages!
So this informs my decision to make sure my kids are dressed in the latest trends, but within a budget. If Mommy can live on deals from H&M, Asos, Urban and the like, then baby can too…but don’t worry I won’t be like those creepy moms that dress like their kids! That I promise!
